Obama dóna suport a Israel

A Internet hi ha un excés de webs sobre les eleccions presidencials als Estats Units, que podríem qualificar d'"infoxicació". Entre aquest magma, però, hem trobat una pàgina bastant interessant, que permet saber l'opinió de tots els líders nord-americans respecte els diversos temes, així com el seu historial. Per exemple, del que pot acabar esdevenint candidat demòcrata, Barack Obama, s'hi poden trobar els seus posicionaments, que habitualment no apareixen en els mitjans d'aquí. Per exemple, un parell de cites d'Obama respecte el conflicte al Pròxim Orient, que poden sorprendre algun desprevingut:

"Nobody has suffered more than the Palestinian people from the failure of the Palestinian leadership to recognize Israel, to renounce violence, and to get serious about negotiating peace and security for the region. Israel is the linchpin of much of our efforts in the Middle East."

"Our first and immutable commitment must be to the security of Israel, our only true ally in the Middle East and the only democracy. We must be consistent and we must include the EU and the Arab States in pressing for reforms within the Palestinian community."

És només un exemple, però bastant il·lustratiu. Esperem que, si aquest candidat assoleix el govern dels Estats Units, els qui tant l'enalteixen des d'aquí deixaran de criticar sistemàticament la política nord-americana, i tot allò que procedeix la principal potència democràtica occidental.
